Non-Archimedean Geometry

The talk aims to make an introduction to the concept of "non-Archimedean geometry". We will start with giving some of the basic geometric properties of non-Archimedean topology and try to understand the challenges of building an analytic geometry over this "unusual" topology. Then we will briefly introduce Tate's approach to solve the fundamental problems of the topology. In the final part, we will generalize the ideas of Tate to some certain type of spaces.
